It’s a lot of wattage for a small space, which is great news for your workflow because your workpieces ramp up to temperature way faster. We use high-purity quartz glass here—not the cheap stuff—so the tube doesn’t warp or snap when things get scorching. Why the double tube actually matters Standard single-tube lamps usually give up the ghost when you push them too hard. But the pressurized environment in our double-tube design protects the tungsten filament. It lets us crank it up to 2200W without the whole thing falling apart. It plays nice with most industrial controllers, but a quick heads-up: make sure your power supply can handle that initial “cold-start” surge. It hits hard at first. One cool thing is that the quartz lets short-wave infrared pass right through. This means the heat slams directly into your material instead of just wasting energy heating up the air around it. Just a word of caution. 2200W in this size creates a massive amount of radiant heat. If your vents are clogged or your fans are too weak, you’re going to fry your lamp sockets.
